17 Mar 2016Large spacious villa with very private pool and terrace area. Ideal location, just 5 minute walk into town centre (this does involve one fairly steep but short hill) and 15 minutes to the beach - downhill on the way there but either a steep walk back or lots of steps (lost count of how many). Owners are going to replace kitchen but what is there is quite adequate. En-suite shower a little on the small side but useful if there are several of you staying. Good wi-fi connection and TV with news channels. Selection of books and games available. Clean and tidy and pool man came twice during week to check it out.
11 Mar 2016My wife and I spent a week at this lovely villa and we could not have picked any better.
It was spotlessly clean both in and out and well kept.
We ended up sleeping in the the double bedroom that overlooked the pool.
The outside space is ideal for relaxing and chilling out.
Car parking spaces also ideal.
Ian should be very proud of his place I will definitely return one day.
04 Mar 2016My sister and I stayed at Mermid at the beginning of June. Everything from booking the villa to detail about the area was meticulously communicated by the owner Ian. Ian is very open about what they have achieved with the refurbishment of their recently purchased property and what they still wish to achieve. The villa is located in a very quiet residential area, a 5 minute walk (depending on your fitness, as it is quite a steep road!) to the centre and a good 10 minute walk downhill to the beautiful cove. The villa is clean both inside and outside with everything you need for a comfortable stay, the pool was cleaned at least twice (that we are aware of) during our 1 week stay and there was access to the agents should we have needed anything sorted during our stay, we didn't! The villa is spacious with superfast wifi that works outside as well which is a big bonus, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this villa for both families and couples and my sister and I would definitely return. 16 Feb 2016Our good experience of this booking before we arrived. The new owners kept us up to date with work on and facilities at the villa and went out of their way to deal with any questions or concerns that we had. We were not disappointed when we arrived . The owners had explained that there was still work they planned to do, mainly in the kitchen but this in no way detracted from our holiday which focussed mainly around a scrupulously cleaned pool surrounded by sun loungers and poolside table and chairs. Our 14 year old boys made extensive use of the wifi and tv and we particularly appreciated the coffee filter and decent sized fridge freezer. We often ate late on the well lit terrace.
