The CANALHOUSE is a monument with a spacious, design, boutique, luxe large livingroom with fireplace, big lounge seat, great wooden floor though out the apartment, separate workingspace with WIFI-internet, Harman-Kardon surround system, large 46' inch LCD tv-screen, DVD/CD-player, docking station for Iphone/ Ipod.
A big modern 4.60m corian kitchen, large dishwasher and fridge, washmachine/ -dryer, combi-oven/grill/microwave, separate diner table and chairs, Nespresso-coffee machine, watercooker, plates and cutlery available.
Bedrooms: 2 modern spacious bedrooms with 2 king beds and in one of the rooms a LCD tv-screen.
We have special separate closets for our guests.
Bathrooms: 2 separate modern bathrooms. One of them contain double washbins with idem taps, 1 toilet and a separate shower and a relaxing bathtub. And one of them contain double washbins and a separate shower. Another separate toilet is also available.
Quality bed-linen, towels and toiletaries are available.
Outside a wide terrace at the sunny, quiet zone of the yard with big relaxing chairs (umbrella available).
The appartment is recently refurbished and contains every bit of design/ luxe you would wish on your holidays.
It is only a very short walk to all famous streets like Rembrandsquare, Damsquare, Nieuwmarkt, Hermitage, Skinny Bridge, all musea like Anne Frank Museum, theatre, trendy places and shoppingarea in Amsterdam. So no additional transport is needed to explore the great and interesting city.
Cousy restaurants, breakfast possibilities and bars are only a 3 minute walk away!
The apartment is easy to reach with public transport or taxi from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport or from Amsterdam Central Station. It takes you approx. 15-20 minutes.

10 Jul 2019I had the good fortune to spend 2 months in this lovely apartment at the intersection of the Prinsengracht Canal and the Amstel River. The apartment is one flight up and the large windows afford a panoramic view of the canal below, the classic canal houses, and the picturesque bridge on Amstel. The apartment is large with very high-end finishes, appliances and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen is very well appointed with all of the utensils and cooking accoutrements you will ever need if you’re interested in eating in. The location is spectacular. The Walkscore is 98-Walker’s Paradise. Everything you need/want from groceries, cafes, ethnic restaurants, pharmacies, wine stores, boutique shops, souvenirs, etc. are within easy walking distance. If you’re bit more ambitious, a 15 minute walk along the Amstel River will take you down to the main shopping street of Kalverstraat. It’s a particularly lovely walk as you return home as the sun sets. Of course if you’re in Amsterdam you should consider renting a bike. There is a large bike rack on the street below a few steps from the front door. Virtually all of Amsterdam’s must-see attractions are accessible within ten minutes or less by bike. If mass transit is you’re thing, you can hop on the tram a block from the apartment. The comfortable bedrooms are at the back of the apartment and you will not be bothered by any street noise. The owner, is always available and will promptly and with good cheer address any problems or concerns you might have. Enjoy!
