Description
A modern and recently refurnished apartment with a romantic touch on a houseboat. The location is very close to the busy center of Amsterdam but still in a quiet residential area. A nice place to return to after a day of exploring Amsterdam.
Located in a quiet residential area. It's a 10 minutes walk to the free ferry (runs 24 hours a day) which takes you in a couple of minutes straight to the Central station right in the middle of the city. From here all the major attractions of Amsterdam like the Anne Frank House, van Gogh museum etc. are easy to reach by bus or tram. The best way is however to rent bikes to move around like the locals.
The houseboat has 2 separate double bedrooms; not many houseboats have this.
The kitchen is complete, so you can make the choice whether to eat out or make a home meal.
To get to central station takes about 10 minutes by bicycle and 15 minutes by foot. You can also take the bus for 1 stop.
Ferry free of charge taking you over 'het IJ' to central station 24/7, offering a beautiful view of the canal.
The patio was recently renewed and provides two areas to hang out; a place to eat at the picnic table and a place to enjoy your afternoon drinks

What our customers say
This houseboat was absolutely perfect for our stay. There are two private rooms with queen beds, so it is perfect for two people/couples. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was so clean as well. The bathroom was very modern, and had the best shower I used on my whole Europe trip. The kitchen was perfectly outfitted with everything we needed to cook, and make coffee, etc. Johanna met us personally to go over everything and give us recommendations on what to do. I loved being on the north side of Amsterdam. The walk/bike to the ferry was easy and the ferry runs constantly - 24 hours a day. I really liked getting out of the busy part of town to come back to the calm houseboat. Johanna was also very quick to respond to all of my inquiries. I would absolutely stay here again, and recommend to my friends!
The houseboat is extremely spacious, functional, cozy and very quiet to relax after a long day of walking beautiful Amsterdam. The ferry ride is an added bonus and extremely easy and convenient. The walk from/to ferry may seem like a long way, but it is not, even with the two large suitcases we had. We enjoyed seeing ducks from our windows every morning. The Welcome Packet is so professional and thorough, we no questions - all necessary information was there. There is a couple of medium size supermarkets in case you want to fix breakfast, or a snack / be aware they only accept credit card with a pin# or cash only. Some restaurants do not accept credit cards either. We will definitely recommend this houseboat - we had a great time. Thank you Johanna and your staff for making our visit to Amsterdam, an unforgettable one. Cheers!!!The Escoto’s
Have visited Amsterdam a number of times over last 30 years and can honestly say the space inside and out you get with staying on the houseboat is such a bonus ... we’d definitely stay here again rather than book a hotel. We were a bit concerned about staying away from the centre at first but our fears were unfounded .... its a really pleasant location, less than 10mins walk to the free ferry that runs 24/7 and you never wait more than a couple of minutes for it taking you straight into central Amsterdam. Communication with the owner prior to arriving was excellent and he is quick to refund our deposit too. On arrival we were met by a very nice lady who explained everything we needed to know about the boat, how to get to the ferry, where the nearest supermarket, restaurants, shops etc were. The houseboat was clean, secure and had everything we needed. We are looking forward to coming back.
This was our first trip to Amsterdam, and we were quite excited at the thought of staying on a houseboat, and I must admit, it was a great choice. The boat was amply spacious enough for our party of four, and was very warm and welcoming. Johanna greeted us on arrival, gave a guided tour of the boat and plenty of useful information about Amsterdam. The accommodation was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and was immaculately clean. The location of the boat was perfect, just a short walk from the ferry, which ran very frequently. The ferry service was excellent and we never had to wait for a boat to arrive, and within a few minutes you were across the river and in the heart of Amsterdam. In the local vicinity we came upon a new café/bakery on 113 Mosveld called de Bakkerszonen that we could definitely recommend. The welcome from the staff was great and the food was superb. The selection of cakes, bread and pastries to take away was fantastic. We all agreed we woul
