Description
Many canalhouses are facing just one canal. This one is facing two. One canal in the front and one at the side. Situated at what is called "Little Venice" this light and bright appartment with many windows offers all comfort you'll search for in Amsterdam. Because the appartment is situated in a bend of the canal, you'll experience an extraordinary view that oversees 5 bridges and over 750 metres (0,5 miles).
There are many, many, really many... cozy restaurants, bars, boutiques/shops, nightlfe places and so on in this area.
Everything is in walking distance. Near to lines 1, 2 and 5 (1 minute) and 4, 9, line 14, 16, 20 and 24 and 25 (3 minutes), metrostations Nieuwmarkt and Waterlooplein (15 minutes) and Central Station (20-25 minutes)
The house has only 1 bedroom, but an aerobed can be placed in the livingroom for 2 extra guests. There's also a babybed and a baby buggy / carrycot available if needed.

Location description:
The apartment is on the renown Singel - part of World Heritage 17th Century canal ring – the popular 9streets-area are around the corner (10 seconds walk). It's on a relatively quiet part of the Singel but yet as central as you can be.
Albert Heijn, the grocerystore, is about 1 minute walk, Leidsche Square, Dam Square and Rembrandt Square within 10 minutes.
Also on walking distance:
Kalverstraat and Leidschestraat - 2 minutes
Anne Frank House – 15 minutes
Museumplein (Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum) – 20 minutes (5 by tram)
Red Light District - 15 minutes
Central Station – 20 minutes
Post Office - 5 minutes

21 May 2019Fantastic location. Very central. Didn’t realise there wasn’t a washing machine which was a tad inconvenient given we were a family of 4 and there for 6 days but the host was very accommodating and helped with our load of laundary. Only negative being in the centre is that the noise from party goers through the night is very audible and the garbage truck early in the morning makes for unrestful sleep. A trade- off from staying in staying in such a central location.

02 Mar 2019The apartment was lovely, clean and had great wifi. It was the perfect location in relation to dam square, which made it easy to get around on foot. We met Lais and communicated with owner, both are lovely, helpful hosts! We would definitely use their place again if we’re ever back in Amsterdam!
05 Jan 2019Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to be in the centre of town. Very close to the markets and looking onto a canal is a treat. We were very happy with the apartment itself and the little treats left out for us to enjoy was a nice touch. Eva was very accommodating in organising key collection and very prompt in answering all of our questions. We hope to stay again soon.
15 Dec 2018Die Wohnung in dieser herrlichen Lage ist unser neuer Sehnsuchtsort. Alles perfekt! In der Wohnung ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was ein Urlauber benötigt, sie ist liebevoll eingerichtet, der Ausblick auf den Kanal, die Schafe, Enten und Pferde ist nie langweilig. Der Gastgeber ist sehr liebenswürdig. Hoffe, wir können bald wiederkommen.
02 Dec 2018Wonderful location and people. The stairwell and entrance is a little tight at first but after you get used to it, it’s fine. Owner are very sweet and communicated very well. Once we “checked in” Host recommended some nice resturants, shops and grocery stores. Some of which are just steps away. It is also an easy walk to many of Amsterdams famous sights and areas.
