29 Mar 2019Spent 6 days here in March 2019 and it was a perfect location. Just off city center close to everything with a tram stop right in front. Typical Amsterdam spiral staircase so pack light (which is the only way to go in my opinion anyway). Very modern bathroom and kitchen and great open floor plan with large windows. I prefer locations that are not managed through property management companies and I thought this one was owner-check in. It was not and the company was a tad disorganized but the owner made the effort to correct things and overall it all worked out. I would say the the folks in the apartment above were very noisy starting around 0730 until mid-day. I didn't need an alarm clock as their children running back and forth and them moving furniture did the trick. A little annoying on the first day since I was tired from traveling. But that being said, you are not in Amsterdam to hang out inside so I dealt with it and I got up and moving to discover the city. I was very happy there was a washer but I do wish there was a microwave to make reheating food easier than getting out pans and using the stove. That is just a minor detail. Overall great place and I would stay there again.
